Metropolitian College of New York (MCNY)

In partnership with Leadership and Public Service High School and Trinity Church Wall Street (TCWS), Metropolitan College of New YorkMCNY provides classes courses for college credit in public administration for current 9th to 11th graders. This is a great way for students to prepare for college and build the knowledge and skills necessary for jobs in non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. This program is part of ongoing work with TCWS to support provide students with academic and social support and reflects opportunities that incoming students can access in their time at Leadership.

Students have taken such courses as:

  • Public Speaking and the Art of Persuasion

  • Self-Assessment and Preparation for Public Service

  • Computer Applications for Profit and Non-Profit Management

  • American Government

Metropolitan College of New York offers dynamic programs of study aimed at producing exemplary, proactive professionals who learn how to put knowledge into action in order to create opportunities for advancement while creating enhancements in organizations. Our students are required to work, or are placed in internships, within organizations which provide environments for this to take place. Each semester, a different area of professionalism is explored. MCNY students are constantly challenged to relate ideas to achieve the semester’s theme in a way that improves the world.
